I was just given a Shure prologue 14l to compare with my akg 500 and before I waste my time I would like to know about it. Both are dynamic and I've had the akg for years. The akg is ok but lacks the bottom end I like in a sm57 or 58. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure (no pun intended) that Prologue = "entry level"

That said....sometimes a mic will sound like crap on most sources....then, on source XYZ....it's perfect.
