Found this on ebay to do hand held type recordings.

I think I paid 60 bucks...

Sounds nice and neutral... a little piano on my badly maintained spinet.

I envisioned late hours at a western saloon. Piano player with a cigarello, empty room except for one drunk cowboy sprawled across a table and the town "lady" sitting on the bottom step of a winding staircase.

I always thought it'd be handy to have one of those (DR-05 that is). Pretty easy to operate? I remember FDPer Flackbase(?) posting a jam demo from something of the like a few years back. Sounded amazingly good.

Why thank you, Larry!

I love a cigarello! That "lady" is getting a little too close to the keys... heh heh.

They are really neat recorders. Some are very high quality. I wanted a cheap one, and I still think it sounds great.

Its very easy to operate. Press record once, set level, press record and it goes. Press stop it stops. Plug into the computer via USB and navigate like a flash drive.

I still have those clips by Flackbase. They are amazing. I think that was his black 56 custom shop strat. There was bass and drums and sax. Funny names on the tracks, too. I think a zoom recorder...

I can almost hear the drunk cowboy crying in his drunken slumber...

Bartender spitting into a glass following it with a dusty old rag...
