Our group leader at church bought a used Squier 50s Telecaster white, with a pine body. I am blown away, to the point that I may seek one out. I WOULD even celebrate the Squier decal on the headstock!kinda makes it extra cool, eh?

No matter what it says on the headstock or where it was made, a great guitar is still a great guitar.

I agree with spud... I used to be a headstock snob but the Squier line has really stepped up. I won't buy a Fender MIM Standard ANYTHING new... I would only buy a used one that I could modify.

I just got a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass in sunburst to compliment my Squier Vintage Modified '70's Jazz Bass. Both are not only outstanding in quality and play, but SHOULD say Fender on the headstock. They are on par with the US made stuff Fender puts out. But that's my opinion.
