Here's a video I made of my conversion of a Leslie 900 to work with an external power amp and simplified slow / fast switching. The Leslie is pretty road worn and beat up, with a blown V21 driver, but I got it cheap. I replaced the Utah bass driver with a high power Eminence and I replaced the Jensen V21 with a JBL / Selenium D250-X compression driver.

Sounds nice now!

At the end of the video is a short demo of a Hammond RT-2 console with the Pedal Solo Unit.

MR.ECS-3, I never cease to be amazed by your postings and videos,.. especially of the Hammond RT-2 and now the Leslie 900.!!
I was 'locked out' of the FDP for a while after the last big server crash and as I am mostly a 'lurker' anyway, did not seek reinstatement until recently, so I am belatedly acknowledging your significant contribution to the preservation/restoration project that you have so generously shared with us.
As a keyboard 'enthusiast', I always gravitate to this forum on the FDP first,.. and have enjoyed immensely your journey with the Hammond/Leslie restoration and modifications.
The results of your talents hopefully will eventually be utilized in recordings that will showcase and perpetuate your restoration talents along with the magnificent sonic beauty of the iconic instruments developed by Mr. Laurens Hammond and its complimentary amplification system developed by Mr. Donald Leslie.
Kudos to you for devoting your time and talent to these antiques...

Well thank you for those kind words!

The restoration of the Hammond RT-2 Console has been quite a job. I'm still not quite finished. This winter I'm going to remove the bass pedal switchbox to clean the bussbars and also try to replace the high "G" pedal switch assembly as it is broken.

I'm currently using the Hammond / Leslie to add some organ parts to a friends original song. We'll see how that goes.

MR. ECS-3.I eagerly await your postings with the results of your recordings...
Have you ever thought about replacing the AO-10 original Hammond preamp with a Hammond AO-28 preamp that effectively converts it to an RT-3 with the percussion features..??
...not much of an issue if only using the organ for keyboard background fills...but highly desirable if using the Hammond for solos...!! If you are not 100% committed to authenticity,
Trek II is an aftermarket supplier that sells quality products to upgrade your console...

So far I have been keeping the original preamp that the organ came with. I may someday do a preamp upgrade like that, but for now I'm planning to enjoy it as is.

Thanks for the TREK II link!
