These record 16 concurrent tracks, and two can be ganged together.

For those of us who don't like Operating System updates in the middle of our recordings...

Cool unit, seems like it'd be an ideal solution for serious live recording. But for the cost + mixer + all outboard requirements I think I'll stick with my PC and its baggage.

So you've abandoned computer based recording for real Steve? How about mixing/mastering?

If you have the outboard, why not?

It's kind of like the modern version of tape. You track through your analog gear, this device puts it on the drive. No PC in the way.

Then I suppose you play back through it into a board to mix if you want to? And another unit can take the two track sum?
