And before anyone says it, yes, I'm well aware it sounds like an 80s biker movie soundtrack.

I used Power Drum 2 (free) for the drum track and a Voodoo Strat plugged into a Boss ME-30 for the guitars. Cheapo Jackson bass into the ME-30 too. Probably should have clipped off some of the tail end.

At some point I want to get the Behringer BCF control surface to throw in fades, etc.

Some good playing in there. I like it. The drums sounded really good.

Thanks guys. I've got a lot to learn using Reaper. I thought that it'd be easy to trim off some of the excess at the end by marking and selecting a region from one point and then removing the contents of the region. Rendering the project, I would still get dead air even with no audio content. Turns out in rendering, you have to set the end time. Yeah, still a lot to learn.

Very nice! Good first effort with the new setup as well.

Here's what I do when I do my final master mixdown in Reaper.

Just do a region time selection by clicking somewhere at the top of the grid and dragging the mouse. Select the area you want, and in the render item window, select the dropdown that says "entire project" by default, and make it "Time selection"

It sounds like you may have the buffer a little too low on the interface though - as there are some digital pops here and there that don't sound like clips.

One thing that wreaks havoc is the LAN adapter. If you can select it and disable it while you track, you may cut down on the clock errors.

Glad you are recording! Great chops!

When you have time, check out this manual in the link. Lots of great basic info and even more advanced stuff.

I'll start another thread dedicated to the topic of controllers and control sufaces.
