Is there another similarly priced set of closed backs you recommend?

I'm happy with the Sennys. Just adding another closed set for vocal tracking.

No recommendation, but an odd observation about my HD280's. I really like these headphones but I've found that they affect my perception of pitch when tracking vocals unless I keep one side off. If I remove the cans while listening I can hear the pitch drop, almost like a Doppler effect. Both cans on and I tend to sing sharp.

Sounds like they seal to your head unusually well.
