Plug in and make some noise!!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L755 laptop with Windows 7, an Intel Core i3_2310m 2.10 GHZ processor and 4GB of RAM that I can upgrade to 8GB. I was looking into getting a PreSonus AudioBox USB interface that includes Studio One Artist DAW. The system requirements call for a for a Intel Core Duo processor. Any other DAWs or interfaces that might work better?...or would my laptop be OK? I'm just looking to lay down tracks one at time and be able to use drum loops possibly EZ Drummer. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Core Duo is a step below an I3.

Whether it works well etc will depend on a lot of factors.

Chances are it'll be fine with limited track counts even with existing RAM.

Issue on most laptops of any price range is the drive space/speed is very, very dismal.

USB 2.0 I assume is supported on that Toshiba, but not familiar with that specific model.

That said, I'd pay a small premium to buy from somewhere with a return policy just in case.

This is where I recommend Sweetwater in particular because the rep can refer you to somebody who may have a clue on their staff.
