I've had this guitar for a few months. It is one of my favorites! Lightweight mahogany/maple cap body. P90s are a little brighter than the traditional Gibson P90s. Love it! Now selling for only $558 at Sweetwater. Linked is a good review.

Hi Rich-Just checked out Mitchs (from Sweetwater)
review and that is one nice sounding axe for the money!
? is the body thickness just a bit wider than say an SG.
Thanks and congrats!

I don't have an SG (too much neck divin' for me), but the MM body thickness is about 1 5/16 at the edges, a little thicker in the middle 'cause of the carved maple top. And it has a belly cut. Very light and comfy.
I didn't care for the small button tuners, so I replaced with some Gibson Deluxe tuners, direct replacement. I also replaced the truss rod cover with a plain black one.
Be aware that although it is a nitro finish, it is a flat finish. I may at some point try spraying a satin nitro over it. The neck feels great with the flat finish tho. I don't think you can go wrong at that price. The 2014 marker at the 12th fret isn't gaudy to me.

I have a 2014 melody maker also but mines a bit different.I dig your P90s I had a few sets of them on guitars over the years and they have their own sound, bigger than a single coil but grittier than a humbucker. Nice guitar in the LP shape.mine has a single seymour duncan humbucker and is in the explorer shape,it rips.
