Thanks, the Mixo is one of my favs to use when ever I can. This scale lends itself to building great sounding melodies IMO. Derek Trucks, and for that matter all of the other Allman Bros guitar players use the Mixo quite a bit to flavor their sound.

It's always a great help to know what cords are being used along with the scale/mode as well so that when a progression is using those cords you can confidently play those elements (like the Maj 3rd or 6 in this case).

P.S. I'm going to steal your lick!

Robert, nice thank you. I did move it down to the fifth fret area. It will help me move it in to my vocabulary faster, as I think in numbers rather than notes.

A side subject. I currently practice/play using the line6 Amplifi FX 100. It touts playing back songs from your iTunes library by way of Bluetooth through you headphones. This AM for the heck of it, I went to your You Tube video of the excersize and viola! It played back through the effects pedal. I don't know if you have reviewed this rig yet...Just wanted to add a note.

BTW, it is a joy getting the weekly Dolphin Street post in my in box at work.....Yea, I said at work! It helps me cope! Thanks again.

Very nice Robert and of course a very very nice lick!

Love the Viking as well. It sounds great.

I started looking into the mixo mode a while back and the need (or lack of) for two octave scale fingerings and came up with

Thanks!

Steal my licks as much as you like!

I have done an FX100 review actually. It's a cool unit.

Charente, nice work! Thanks for all the comments.

DADGUMM! I DO remember seeing your review before I bought mine in November. Old guy memory me and all.

I look forward to your review of the Firehawk rig, even though I WILL be ordering mine the day it comes available. I wish I had known that Line6 was rolling the Firehawk out in March, I'd have waited.

Anyway thanks again Robert.
