Does anybody know if Soundcloud tracks, if defined as public, are available for any kind of internet streaming radio stations and the like? If so, is the owner notified? The reason I asked is that according to my statistics something weird is going on. Generally I'll see maybe a dozen plays "last 24 hrs", more if I post something new on FB or here. Being that I haven't uploaded anything new in a week or two I was shocked to see my last 24 hrs showing 294 just now. The math doesn't add up the further I look into stats, but I think the song by song thing is delayed by a day. I don't have the Pro version so I can't see deeper into it.

Not that I'm complaining.

Maybe they're trying something new at Gitmo, lol.

I had s similar result as a result of posting a link on Facebook. I posted a link to cousin and it went to all her friends. I doubt anyone hit the link but it got shared and probably counted as a hit by sc.

Heaven forbid it's people actually seeking out your song! :)

Hah, I wouldn't want to overdo it now :-p

SC's control panel is kind of confusing at times. It also seems their allotted download space must have expanded at some point.

Yeah, and it seems you can have more playlists now than before.

I received an email a few weeks ago saying that they were giving me more time......I felt very proud.

You can embed a Soundcloud song in a web site or on Facebook, etc. You can embed your own song or someone else's. Click the share button under the song to see how. Not sure if that would work on a station as you asked. You can also share playlists.

I think as soon as you post something, it goes to the home page. If someone sees it and likes it or follows you, it becomes part of their profile "playlist" (although playlists apparently are something altogether different). Then if their friends and followers listen to it and like the tune, it goes on their profile as well. ..and so on and so on. Once on someones profile, your tune is queued in the auto-play list. At least that's what I've observed.

The keyword/hashtags you use can net serious hits, if the right person finds it and links it to people via their own feed.

It's also accessible to apps (not services, but specific apps) if you allowed that on the individual song's permissions, so you could get people from that.

Sometimes it's spammers drumming up traffic for non-paid songs as well so they don't look as suspicious as well I suspect.
