I have an original 1981 Gibson Flying V ('67 RI.) I don't remember what those pickups are. Trying to do some research and it's kind of fuzzy as to what they are or what the specs are.

I'm trying to sort out between V2's (not what I have), Dirty Fingers and what's known as "T-Tops."

I want to say that I have 496R & 500T humbuckers in my Flying V.

Can anyone add some insight?

Mine had Gibson T-500R in bridge & 496R for neck. If you bought it new that should be true for you. If bought used who knows as they might have been changed. Meter them for their impedance/ohms and compare to the specs for those PUPs.

From '67 onwards, they fitted the V's with the ceramic sisters (496R/500T) so chances are good that's what you've got in yours seeing as it's a '67 re-issue. They still to this day fit them out this way.
