Anybody know anything about these?

I've been looking for months for a cedar-topped, smaller-than-dreadnought guitar, preferably ovankol or rosewood. Baden makes both, in a rather Picasso-esque body style they call the "A" type.

I've read some good reviews, but would be interested in an FDPer's opinion.

T.J. Baden used to work for Taylor Guitars. Stepped out on his own to manufacture his own design. I've never played one though.

Their FB page seems to still be active.

They look very strange without a rosette.

I nearly bought a used one a couple months ago. It was at a great price (and I would have had it, except that when I went back to get it, someone else had already snatched it...drat!).

It played very nicely and sounded great.

I think they are gone out of business.

I had a line on one in Colorado when I was looking for a cedar-topped smaller-than-dread guitar, but the deal fell through- he wouldn't ship.

So I ended up buying a Stonebridge instead for 4x the money, but ain't complaining.
