Here's a nice, simple "lick" - just taking the Major 7th arpeggio and making it fit into a lazy sounding Maj 7 backing track. Not blues this time - it's laid back couch potato music!

Let me know what you think. Arpeggios are not just for shredders!

Good one, Robert.
You always get me thinking!

I have to work on getting arpeggios into my soloing more. More colour!

Thanks!

Thank you!

"Nice one Robert, kept me watching to the end. " - well great to hear I reached my goal! Haha! Hopefully I can help make theory less boring...

"Hopefully I can help make theory less boring..."

Au contraire... I don't find theory boring, I just find it mind boggling! (sometimes)

Being a late bloomer guitar-wise, and the other side of 50, my comprehension and retention is not as great as it may have once been.

The thing I find amazing about theory, and one of the things about music in general, is the mathematics of it.

I've always been pretty good with maths, but kick myself for not applying myself more in school!

"I don't find theory boring, I just find it mind boggling! (sometimes)"

That's me as well.

I am a very UN-accomplished 57 year old guitar player. Still wanting to turn that for the better.

I watch things on YouTube and the boggling part often (for me) gets to a point of thinking *enough of this* and off I click to something else. This video had me surprised when it ended.

I have a few more months of remodel to do with the end result being a designated space for my musical interests AND more time to devote my mind and time to actually turning my playing ability for the better.

Roberts video efforts to help in that regard will be put to use when the time arrives.

Thanks Robert :)

Thanks BlondeStrat - "This video had me surprised when it ended. " - was that a good thing or was the video confusing for you? I'm assuming you mean it made good sense. Thanks, and good luck with your remodeling efforts!

Well, I am as confused a usual, no fault of the video.

The surprise was that I had no idea it was nearing the end. I was happily captive to what you had to show me.

I think some of it may have to do with it being a Major arpeggio as well. A bit *happier* ring to it as opposed to the so often heard sympathetic/melancholy minor blues feel.

I'm always eager to hear and see your new releases here on the FDP. :)
