I know its a little early but I was curious if anybody had any tabs or sheets to any of the songs on this fantastic Christmas album?

If you haven't heard of it you might want to check it out, killer guitar work!!!

None found by him per se. But you can find all those tunes in tab or on YouTube. Just not by him. Once you know their basics, you can listen to his version and get pretty close to how he changed them. Use Jazz approach for chords ...

Good Luck.

You can use these general Kenny lessons to see how he might play chords and leads, and use that to get those Christmas songs to sound more like him. Use their basic framework and your ear to get closer to his versions.

And on YT are lessons for Christmas songs. Real nice ones too. There are some Jazz versions as well, just not Kenny. But useful to get that Jazz feeling and tone etc.

Funny - I was just listening to this in the car today. Love it - every year.

Whats your favorite song on there? I'll transcribe it best I can. It'll be good for me. I don't trans much these days unless I have a purpose i.e. - you. I'm a bit busy but I certainly could at least give you a lead sheet and melody/chord names if I don't get to full on transcribe it.

Ok - been super busy - but I spent a good chunk on it this afternoon. I'm to the ending tag now! Just need to write in the chords for the second half of the tune after that and give it a once over.

Ok - after much balking at chord decisions based on the recording(skeleton chords at times in the strings) I have come up with this version.

This was fun! I discovered a ton about this tune I never knew even though I've listened to it for years.

If you find errors, or wish to debate voicings/chord choices, let me know.

I apologize for the non-standard ties on some passages. Guitar pro is NOT forgiving in many ways. I had to insert notes and ties so I could place the chord names in the right place of the measure.

I have Sibelius First, but I am still more familiar with GP6 right now.

I also wanted to add that you may feel that some of the rhythm notation is off.

Kenny is a boss. He, just like many jazz greats, utilizes rhythm for maximum expression. He plays with many feels, almost rubato within a regular tempo. Some of his eigths are straight, some are swung and some are in between. These are pretty impossible to write, at least cleanly...

Enjoy!

You'll probably find that you would like to use different positions than the tab indicates, which is fine - I put in what I thought would work ok and what I thought Kenny might be doing, but theres definitely multiple ways to do it.

Have fun!
