Very well done site about the prolific pickup designer.Truly one of the most important yet under appreciated pioneers of electric guitar development.

A lot of what Harry came up with is still in use today--by some big-name makers. Huge respect here.

I still regret an idiot moment decision back in the early 2000's ebay heyday when I sold a pair of the 2000 pickups in Martin trim that I sold because I wasn't using them and didn't have plans for them.

I wondered back then why they went for so much.

Very cool, indeed. I'd like a Gretsch some day with DeArmond's.

I have a Hofner Ambassador from the mid 60's that has the DeArmond 2000's in it. A great semi-acoustic guitar and a wonderful tone from those pickups.

His Rhythm Chief pickup (the famous "monkey on a stick", made by Rowe Industries) commands a high price these days among archtop jazz aficionados. There's a reissue Guild with a copy of that pickup, and they got close. But not quite!

Love the DeArmond 2000's on my '60 Guild Starfire III.

spud1950, that's a great site!

At first I thought that the article linked to was it. Oh no, the entire site is dedicated to DeArmond products (and copies to a lesser extent).

I didn't find the names of the folks behind the site, but they deserve a huge thanks.
