You're welcome, picnic. Did you see the pic in which your halo was visible? You musta done good.

So, we were missing guitarists, notably the players I was hoping would do the solos on my songs, while I quietly played rhythm. Just before Sly's "Dance to the Music," picnic steps up to substitute with his Les Paul, and I ask if he can do the guitar solo.

Pete: "I don't want to leave you hanging, but I haven't practiced." Twerniglanzing! he rips it, "Okay, I've practiced."

Back home in Ga. with a SA Octoberfest. Wow, wow & wow is all I can say!

I try not to mention names because I always unintentionally forget someone...

Everyone, I mean everyone played their tuckus off & I'm always so humbled by the huge amount of talent and generosity I feel at OTL.

The horns were spot on & they even felt comfortable enough to do the dance (or whatever it's called) on a few tunes! I was proud of Sjerome for overcoming any pain he might have had & blowin' the trumpet, & Gman, Wrxplayer, the other sax player & the Tbone dude (sorry I didn't get his name) blew me away. I thought they were one voice & at times I just closed my eyes and listened- phenomenal!

Meeting (&playing with) legends like IPL & TBG; playing Josie with Quackerjack & Busta String, singing with Steve & Lynn who has pipes from you-know-where is way more than I deserve.

Littlehand, you made TK & RR proud, seriously brother.

Busta String put me up for four nights & Picnic's hospitality is off the charts; ditto what gman said above.

I never know if I can return but you guys make me want to; I don't know a better way to say it.

Paul
schedule permitting we have one around April/May time frame and then again in Sept/Oct time frame

Watch the jam/event/gig thread. We usually start to talk about it 2 months before to start the song voting process. 1 month before we have the songs and slots locked which allows people to practice

it really is a great time- all egos left at the door and players of all levels attend

I'll be back in NJ early April. let me see how the weekends book up and OTL looks after the winter beating. If there are any Sat/Sundays in May open we can have one. If not, there's always the fall

Pete - Once again you dodged a bullet. Ft. Lauderdale's a much better place to be than NJ the last 2 months or so. Hope to see you soon.
