Love it, gmanNJ. Great way to get things rolling.

LOL, you could even segue to Rawhide at the end, though it might be hazardous to have someone cracking a whip!

Can't Turn You Loose is a good one. I love the theme from Hawaii 5-0 as well as The Munsters.

I was set to do a wounded warrior benefit that fell thru due to the venue closing. A bunch of clamfesters stood up to be counted and volunteered their time. We were planning a 10pc band with a huge horn section. Pete,Evan,Lynn,Steve(Sjerome), K9,knothead Matty, dan dan the piano man, kevin (iused2knowit)all volunteered their time (I hope i did not miss anyone) so I am going to list some of the suggestions we had since they were some great upbeat tunes with horns. All of these are horn tunes even though they may not be in the original.

I offer these as suggestions only. I dont make the list- all of you do, but it would be nice to uber utilize the horns

Cant turn you lose/soul man
Ain't to Proud to Beg
Dancing in the Streets
Chain of Fools
Long train (the horn version on YouTube rocks)
Addicted to Love(with UB40 horns)
Knock on Wood
I feel Good
10th Ave Freeze out
Walking on Sunshine
Mustang Sally
Domino
Respect
Born to be Wild
Get Ready

so do any of these get any love??

Tiller Love for:

Can't Turn You Loose/Soul Man
10th Ave Freeze Out
Chain o' Fools
Get Ready
Knock on Wood
Mustang Sally

Consider having a Motown semi-medley, with organ vamping between tunes to let the guitar players swap out?

if we can get the Motown/R&B stuff in the same key that is doable for sure...we just dont want a train wreck

and dont let me stop anyone from suggesting tunes... I got an email for Take on Me (the Ah HA tune) as done by Reel Big Fish. Yes its ska but we did do a Bosstones tune last time so We CAN do ska!

Very much looking forward to it. Thanks Pete and George for organizing as usual.

Sending horn suggestions to George.

Would love to play Mary Jane's Last Dance on guitar and Running Down a Dream. Petty @ Clamfest is always a hit.

"I Want A New Drug Huey Lewis Great mix of guitars and horns."

Good call, Pete, and a great example of good tunes usually overlooked due to their "off the radar" artists.

There's a ton of that stuff out there. Just got to go back a bit deeper in the catalog. Hows about some Isley Bros., Iggy Pop, or even Alan Parsons Project?

Lots of cool horn work from those guys. Dig the sax in "Don't Answer Me", for example.

How's about "What's Going On?", by the late, great Marvin Gaye?

Anybody up for some Ian Dury and the Blockheads ("Reasons To Be Cheerful")?

I Want a New Drug was legally seen as infringement on Ghost Busters so maybe we can medley them HAR!

While we are at it we can do He's so Fine and My Sweet Lord....
