I had bought a Starfire about ten years ago, maybe more. It's blond with double cutaways, and USA Gold Tones. It sounded rich and beautiful on the neck pup through a Twin on the floor and I bought it on the spot.
It had crappy tuners and did not stay in tune.
I just got around to replacing the tuners with Grover's.
Got myself a geetar now!
I'm gonna go get myself a new Vox AC15 in white tolex and get dirty!

Hail yeah! The GoldTones are fantastic pickups. Not particularly hot, but great clarity and sensitivity. You can use that guitar for everything from jazz to blues to country and rock. Crank it up!

I like the tuners on my Dearmond Starfire so far, maybe I'm not picky enough, or do they vary quality wise?
