FDP Forum / Fender Guitars: Jaguars & Jazzmasters / New to forum - VM Jazzmaster

Hi all. Just picked up a VM Jazzy recently and I'm really diggin it. Got it for surf and post rock experimentation, but found it does scrappy dirt really nicely. All stock.

Anyway I play a lot of music with my 2 kids and thought I'd post this vid of us jamming to demo the tone you can get by pushing these cheap but awesome guitars. Anybody else out there using these for harder stuff? It's really versatile IMO.

Welcome. I picked up one of these as well and think it's a great value. I never tried a JM before and now I'm hooked. I especially like the tone when overdriven.

Yeah, the Squier stuff is all pretty amazing quality these days. I have a Classic Vibe Custom tele, then I couldn't resist getting the VM Jaguar, then the VM Jazzmaster, then a Bass VI. My wife thinks I have a problem, but she doesn't realize how much money I'm saving. heheh. Here is the jaguar in action doing a surf instro original tune also with my kids. I have 11s on both offsets.
