I really like this bass and how it feels, looks , and the pups are ok. I just purchased SPB-3 and SJB-3 and I am wondering if I should replace the pots etc....

Look inside, if they are standard Alpha size, work smoothly, no scratchiness is sound when turning them while playing then no there is nothing to be gained. I can tell you change the output jack with a good switchcraft as the asian jacks are really cheaply made.

Thanks Bubbalou. I appreciate the advice. Pots all sound good and I will change out the output jack. I am excited to get the 1/4'rs in and play them this coming Friday at band practice!

I had Quarter Pounders in a bass they were big and bold sounding. Do well in the right bass

Played with the band on Sat. I am very pleased with new bass, even more that the Fender P Bass Mex. that I owned previously. Quarter pounders are my fav. Lot of punch and very strong even when playing soft.

I just got the short scale version of this for my son's birthday, he gets it next week. Glad you like it.
