Very nice looking Strat. Very tempting. Great attention to detail. Reminds me of the Strat that Eldon Shamblin played forever.

Yea, I like the look, just know that I am not a maple FB guy.

Rosewood and I'd consider it!

(And I know, it'd eliminate the 1954 vibe)

Too bad it doesn't have the '54 button-style string tree, but at least it should stand a bit of whammy use without retuning.

I like the look of the gold one. Too bad the gold plating will suffer soon. I'm still tempted!

I caved in yesterday. What I really needed was a new amp, or a Telecaster, not another Strat. But that Aztec Gold was just too tempting.

Yeah. I know what you mean. To my eye that is a beautiful gold finish and makes a beautiful strat.

By the way, speaking of gold and wearing off, I saw a used Fender Deluxe Player strat today with the gold hardware and it was scratched here and there, but I didn't see any obvious signs of the gold finish having worn off. I was surprised by that.

I know how you feel. I just did the same recently. I will also tell you that the stock pups sound great. I even compared the guitar to the new 1954 Reissue Ltd Edition Strat and my own 60th Anniversary Strat with modified CS 54 pups. The CV held its own.

Great guitar and I love the Aztec Gold and gold hardware too.

The gold hardware on my Deluxe Player's Strat seems to be holding up too. Not oxidizing or rubbing off like some other gold hardware. Can't say that the CV Strat will be the same but it looks to be the same quality. Either way the CV's are a great deal.
