Possibly, possibly... Depends on the date. Our drummer just asked me a few weeks ago if 'they' still do those jams in Detroit.

OK, we've just about pinned it down!

Via top-secret e-mail exchanges, the Council Of Rock has ruled that June 28, 2014, shall be the best date for BritJam 2014.

Pete plans to confirm the date with the folks at The British Commonwealth Club shortly.

We're also considering a jam there on April 19, but if we do, it might be a tougher draw, as that's a holiday weekend (the 19th's the day before Easter). Any folks who think they'd be up for that one, please chime in soon.

I'll be advising my bandmates, and hopefully will have several in tow for the event.

Rock & Roll!

Sounds good, CBob, SJ, Leon Jer & Chris.

UPDATE: Dartman's confirmed, we're on for the evening of June 28, 2014.

Plenty of time to plan, to practice, to throw together some songs. FYI, Pete sez April's already booked, so no jam on the 19th. Spread the word about the 28th of June, and let's make it a party!

Rock on.

Two More FYI's:

1. Yes, the event's been added to the FDP Jam calendar. The calendar only shows events within the next 90 days, so it should start appearing in late March.

2. Amy Nasir and I will be playing at Ye Olde Saloon this Saturday night, March 1, 2014, if anyone would like to come say "hi" and have a drink.

Details on this Saturday's event.

I like the June date, I'll mention to my jam buddies.

But I'll have to pass this weekend, it's going to be 80 in key west and I don't want to miss that ;)

We will be a week or two back to work after our Tybee Island vacation, sounds like a good little get away to see Grandma.

Can I just watch? ;-)

Hi kids, we are definatly on for the 28th.

I also spoke to the club management and since the Dart League is done till fall, they also offered us any Friday night. Now they have a fish fry on Fridays so there would be people there already. They only ask for advance notice so they can put it in their calendar.

Hey, gang.

One month out, so probably a good time to have folks chime in.

I'll check with my mates and see how many folks plan to make it ... Ron Tool might be out of the country; if so, I suspect the rest of The Capitalists will be on hand; either way, I'll let ya'all know.

Anyone still thinking about a planning/jamming evening during the week, maybe a couple weeks ahead of time?

A beforehand get together is a darn good idea, but I can't offer much (like a place) other than my guaranteed presence.

Pete, how late is the Club open on weeknights?

If a weeknight's not good, is anyone up for a Friday the 28th planning session/dress rehearsal/jam?

That's one week ahead of time; we could throw a barebones schedule together, and a short list of songs to play throughout the evening, between other players, or whenever steam's at a low.

(I'll also send this note privately, as Jacqui will want to chime in; it will be good for her to have a list of several songs we've got ready for her to sing, and to run through a few ahead of time.)
