Could be fun if the channels are jumperable in a useable way.

Spec only has 6V6 listed, not seeing 6L6

Looks interesting.

Dang, why didn't Fender come out with all this cool stuff 20 years ago?

Well if the 9 watts claimed in the specs is correct I would think there is a 6L6 in there. 9 watts would be a bit much for a class A 6V6.

Definately some typos in the listing.

It comes with a 6L6. All you will need is an A-B footswitch to switch between the channels. I like the look and can't wait to try one.

Kind of a fixed-tone Champ with a 6L6GC power tube, a 12" speaker and a higher gain channel.

Or maybe not. :)

When I first saw it I wasn't loving the cosmetics--the covering looks like the wallpaper of the clubs I played in the late '60s-early '70s. But it has grown on me.

I'm enjoying my Excelsior so much I'm thinking about a Ramparte as well.

Some kind of tone control - even a switch like the Excelsior - would make me more interested.

To be honest, I think the lack of a tone control is why I like my Excelsior.

It's forced me to really learn how to use the guitars' volume and tone controls.

Plus, I have other amps with too many knobs...

Yea, I can see it working as a pseudo-Champ, it's not like I ever used the Champ's tone controls on the BF/SF ones I used past initial settings.

If I want tone control, boy do I have tone control available.

I think you guys have a point re controlling tone in other ways. Although it would be a bit tougher with my new Super-Sonic guitar, which has no tone controls. Pedals can do wonders, though.

$399.99 at Sweetwater.
I wonder if they'd match MF's current $75 off orders > $399?

Not exactly. However, Tyler at ext-1258 is good to talk to. Tell him I sent ya (really).

Sweetwater's expecting a shipment next week.

A $400 featureless amp? No thanks. Nice furniture, tho.
