Getcha clams here!!!

song list has already started in the last jam thread. Gman makes that happen and we thank him for that. No theme at the moment, but make the suggestions stuff we will know and is fun to play.

New guidelines for this jam to deal with the volume issues.
One drum kit
three guitar max no fourth spot.
friends are welcome, but it's FDPers first on the song list pics.

Clam Train kept a-rolling all day long!!!

I can't find the link to the song list on either thread.

"Where's that confounded link?"

I think that G-man is traveling for business this week so he is likely not in a position to work on the list

Hope everyone had a great summer!

We will need some great Fall Clamfest memories to get us thru the winter months.

I sent in my suggestions, we'll see what sticks to the wall.

I sent a blast message to those I had good emails for with a link to this thread....

I expect a ramp up very soon....

Lynn is in and suggested a bunch of tunes.
If you want a female fronted tune send it- or even a high voiced male tune. She suggested Zep's Rock and Roll for her to sing

Its all so very Clam-tastic!

****UPDATE************************
After this weekend I will post what ever suggestions I got so get em in..... then we will allow 5 sign ups per slot since we only have 3 guitar slots.

variety is the spice of Clamfest.... why do songs you already play? Why not try to stretch and branch out?

last year they scoffed at Ska an THAT was a lot of fun!

Quack and I try to do a Metal/heavy song. This year someone suggested War Pigs (which we did before). I am fine with either the Black Sabbath or Cake version. Any Ozzy is fine with me.

Peegoo! What Cake or otherwise eclectic tune do you want to do?

lets get some tunes that really challenge this group. The Live Sweet Jane and the I need a Lover are both great and challenging. I have done both and have them charted out

Anyone up for Irish rock like Floggin Mollys or Drop Kick Murphys??

lets kick this pig!

"lets get some tunes that really challenge this group."

Speak for yourself, pal.

I haven't played a song yet that I haven't been holding on for dear life.

I'm the one that proposed the Mighty Bosstones ska tune the last time around.

If Littlehand didn't step up and carry us, Greg1948 and I would have run screaming into the parking lot.

but you did it tho.....that's the point

you accomplished a new challenging tune (albeit hanging on for dear life)rather than being in your comfort zone. That's ballsy and scary and exciting all at the same time. You should have felt relieved and good about yourself when it was over.

A lot of these tunes have rhythm parts that even players like me can handle (and that's saying a lot!)

and that's not to say we don't do standard blues based songs or songs we have done before. I am just trying to get a couple songs that are good tunes but not something people hear everyday

but this is done by committee vote... so if it gets love it stays and if not it goes :)

yes Doug- I am still going thru the suggestions and have more than enough songs so not everyone will get all their suggestion on the list

There were a lot of duplicate suggestions and those were first picks as the love was showing by multiple suggestions.

Freebird will be the closer. See Fred's link below for the chords (there will also be a chart on the site)

this coming week the Goggle doc will come out and you get 5 pics per slot. Shooting for Monday sometime. Will post here and email whoever is on my Clamfest list

Thanks G. Looking forward to it. I was going to suggest a few for the Rolling Clones. Let me know if you want them.

"You should have felt relieved and good about yourself when it was over."

It's like a paratrooper's first jump. When your number comes up, ya gotta go.

Although, running off, screaming, into the parking lot is always a useful alternative.

Maybe next time, who knows?

Thank God for the talent level of most Clammers.
There's always someone there to pick up the slack.
