made by GHS. My teacher turned me on to these. I use the 12s with wound G on my gretsch. They are a different alloy I believe. The wound strings have a very "electric" tone. Very reactive to pickups. Neat tone. Try them out sometime if you want something for very little money. They can be found at juststrings.com - they are less than 4 bucks a set...
