What if we change the date to Oct 5th?
Does that work for everyone?
I don't think Peegoo or anyone else from the Clamfest is gonna make it anyway!

I think Oct 5th would be good. I've gotta double check with the other guys. At first, I thought they said the 12th would be better, but then the 5th got brought up again, and now I don't know. I'll see them tomorrow.

I really want to make this road trip, and I wouldn't mind stopping at the Jack Daniels distillery again.

You do it on the 12th and I might try for the Clamfest/Tennessee twofer. I'm weird that way, though.

Camping's still gotta be decent in Tenn. that time of year, right?

Not a camper any more, but I would think it would still be a great time of year for camping here, and it sure won't get as chilly at night as it probably does in Upstate NY in Oct!
I hope you can make it....but I'd also really like to have mistermullins & company here. Let's see how his band's schedule works out.

I don't care about the date I just want to be there if possible and that looks good right now. I'll probably drive up in the morning and leave after the Jam since it isn't that far to my house.

That's what I would have to do as well by necessity. Might keep the stay a bit short, but I would like to make it if possible.

The 12th is officially out for us, but the good news is that we're playing the festival.

Ok, so we're gonna lose either mistermullins or sjerome, depending on which weekend we have it.
So...a question for mistermullins, if we have it on Oct 5th would you (and some or all of your band?) be able to make it, or will that be a big practice weekend to prepare for your gig on the 12th?

Don't factor me into the equation, guys. There is some chance I might not be able to make it in any case.

If I can do it, I will.

Let me talk to the guys. If they all can make it, and if it's ok with you guys, we can utilize the jam as prep for the gig. Hell, maybe we can book a place to play while were there. I'll see the guys on Friday.

I'm pretty flexible on the date AND the month, but since I'd rather have it outdoors, I thought Oct would be a good month because of the normally milder weather in TN. If we get into Nov it gets a little more risky, IMO.
But I'm also hoping that most people who have chimed in can make it, and I'm not opposed to switching weekends to make it work, if we can.

Well, we seem to only have about a handful of people that are interested in this. I was really hoping to get some Nashville Cats involved, but there don't seem to be many left on the forum.

I'm thinking we should postpone this for now, and possibly reviving it next spring. Comments welcome.

walshb-If we can get enough folks to just form a jam band I'm all for it. I would actually prefer something around February when it's cold and do it indoors, unless it can be done soon as you said with the October dates. I'm free and good on those dates you posted now. 5th or 12th.

"I was really hoping to get some Nashville Cats involved"

After you get a date confirmed, go to Moe's & run an FYI about the jam. Don't put all the jam info. there, just say something like, "attention
Tenn. FDP members, see the Jams Forum for upcoming event."

I say this because many folks don't look @ the jam forum, while Moe's is the hot spot.
