I am considering hosting my first FDP jam, if enough people are willing and able to come to middle Tennessee for what I hope will be an outdoor jam. Several Atlanta area FDP'rs have already expressed interest, and I'm hoping to get some of the ol' Nashville Cats here also.
It would be in Manchester, TN, halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga, right of I-24, and I'm thinking early October, on a Saturday, probably the 5th or the 12th. By then the weather should have cooled off and I hope to use our covered back porch as the "stage".
I have a backup plan if the weather is lousy, my neighbor (harmonica player) has already agreed to let us use his large 2 story garage (with a stage on 2nd floor) if necessary.
So, what about it people? Who's up for a jam?

I'm not ruling it out...keeping the possibilities open and like Zen, I should know more as time gets closer. I would like to get "Jessica" a bit tighter this time. :)

"Budda/Orange/PRS/Soldano, you have some smokin amps Bro!'
Hey, you forgot the....um...what was it again...oh, yeah, the Jet City that I brought to last year's ATL jam! lol

Peegoo, it would be great to meet you, hope you can make it!!! And Tim, it would be great to see you again and hear you play some more!

"Bill-What's close hotel wise to where you are located?"
Well, we have a couple of spare bedrooms, those would be closest! ;)

But there's also a Holiday Inn, Sleep Inn, Comfort Suites, Country Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, Super 8, Days, Inn, among others. Not sure why we have so many, there's not that much here other than the yearly Bonnaroo festival. What is your preference?

Well a spare room would be great! But, heck any of those Inns would work. We can suss that out closer to Jam time.

Geno-Since we can't get you to an ATL Jam this would be a treat to at least hang out and see you again.

Yeah, I did forget about the Jet City. It's just that your Orange and PRS are scary good! ; )

This would be a blast! I'm thinking I'll be able to make it, and Tim, I'm sure we could work something out and just ride together. Maybe Mojo might like to tag a long with us since he lives so close to us.

Pretty sure I can make, but I have to check the schedule, but it's lookin' good so far. I'm thinking about leaving Friday after work and arriving later that evening. Might even stay Saturday night too. I love a good road trip!

It would be cool if the Atl Guys all crashed at the same hotel too. Man, this would be cool. I'll bring the Southern Comfort!

I love your enthusiasm mm! :)
Really glad you're planning to come, and yeah, everyone in the same hotel would be cool. (I've stayed at the Sleep Inn many times and never had a problem there, and it's fairly new.)
Sorry you won't be here busta! :( I've often wondered if we could do the jams without ya. It just won't be the same. mistermullens is gonna be busy! ;)

Just curious, who is playing bass and drums?

Also, is it about a 4 hour drive between your address and mine?

Thanks
:)

2.5 hours zen, 3 at most, if you hit traffic in Chattanooga or something. You'll gain an hour coming here, and lose it on the way back!
I have invited 3 of my neighbors who play drums, bass, and harmonica. There is a possibility that the bass player will have surgery before then, in which case I'll have to come up with "plan B".

Cool, that's an easy ride.

I think I can borrow a bass to bring would just need the bass amp to be there. Or at least the speaker set up.

I have a bass guitar, it's a cheapo but better than nothing. I already suggested to my neighbor that he just postpone his surgery, I mean, what's more important!?

we are planning ClamFest 15 to be held Oct 5 in NJ. There might be some FDPers in the Balt/DC/VA areas that can make both jams. Can you plan for the 12th to make that a possibility?
