Hey Rev the filtertron and powertron sound great

Not overly fat and muddy when you back off on the attack or volume on them but give you that grit and thickness when you attack yet still articulates the notes extremely well.

Never had filtertrons before but extremely impressed if anything i'd say they are in between a P90 and a humbucker in sound and tone .

This guitar plays great, lightweight nice action resonant and really articulates your playing style it lets you add colour to the notes.

only thing I wish the guitar has was a bigsby but gives me an excuse to buy another gretsch with a bigsby

only issue and as with all lefty guitars pots wired ass about either full on or off easy fix but it would be nice one day to just have a guitar out of the box that I didn't have to go under the hood on.

Yes, there's no excuse for this today - it's lame that they cut corners in this area, especially on these more expensive guitars ... we're not talkin' Epi's or Squier's here!
