What a great little low watt tube amp. Initially the driven sounds were very farty. I suspect a dodgy tube. This changed out and I'm getting some great 60's tones. Difficult to get a nice clean sound, but overdriven it has many voices.

Plugged into a cab and it comes to life. I'm using a mini Marshall cab with a greenback fitted and blown away at what this little cheap amp can do. Highly recommend! This set up has a dark sound to it, but I suspect the bass may be emphasised from the closed back of the cab. Tube wonderfullness without the neighbours complaining.

My neighbor's son Max recently showed me a picture of the Greta amp that he took when he and his dad went to the music store in their search to buy a beginner/practice amp. He was really impressed with the looks (enough to take a picture, which impressed me as Max is only 12).

Funny, I did a search here right after Max told me about the amp and it came up blank. I believe this is the first thread about the Greta.

Although I don't need one, I'd like to try that amp.

I have a Greta. It's the only amp the missus lets me keep in the living room. :)

I wouldn't want it to be my only amp, but, yes, Greta is a dirty girl. She gets nicely nasty.

Not many posts on this table top tuber. Do you feel it's worth the $/ it comes out to about $100/per watt.

it's a cool looking amp but now with the rampart and the excelcior, it seems like fender has aimed to take over the living room without upsetting one's girlfriend. i would start with one of the other two prior to going for this because the lot of them are not too loud and all interesting looking.

I dunno, guys... I tried it out a few times and thought it was the most unmusical tube amp I've ever heard. Very raspy and farty.

Well, ya gotts pay $200 for it and then change out the speaker and tubes. For the same cost, get a Silverface Champ. It'll be much better.
