Man, I've owned and played so many guitars from expensive vintage to new stuff but recently for Father's Day my wife bought me a Daphne Blue Bullet Strat that I love so much that I just bought a Fiesta Red body and fitted it with a slab board maple fingerboard neck I've had for years (think Hank Marvin) and I'm happier than a pig in poop! They play great and sound excellent in my studio! No guitar snob am I, and all I can say is Wow, what bang for the buck!!

So, bump? Does the Bullet Series get no love or are they not even considered true Fenders? There's been a lot sold I'll bet, at the prices they go for, someone besides a 15 yr. old must be playing out with them, so?

Or am I the only pro who really likes them?

A number of years ago, the MF Stupid Deal of the Day was a dual humbucker Bullet Strat with a hardtail bridge. I think I remember paying about $80 for it. Stock, it was an extraordinary guitar for the money and maybe extraordinary regardless of the price.

I tried to convert it into 3 single coils, but I didn't have anything that would fit properly. The pickguard had a bump in the middle because the pickups were about 1/8" too tall for the rout.

I don't need any more Strats, but if I could find one of the hardtails, I might be tempted to try again.

Definitely want to get my hands on a cheap Daphne Blue Bullet. It's the cheapest option I can find for a Daphne Blue with Rosewood that I can put a mint guard and possibly super funky orange knobs on.
