I need a more compact foot controller that serves the same function as a Yamaha FC7. I have an FC7 and I know nothing beats it for quality and reliability. I’m looking for something smaller and lighter that I can fit in my gig bag even if it’s not quite as good as the FC7. Suggestions? Thanks

I have a Roland EV-5 that works well, but I don't know if it's any smaller or lighter than the Yamaha. It measures 8" x 3.5" x 2" tall with the pedal depressed, and weighs one pound.

Remember that because of different pot values and tapers, not all pedals are compatible with all keyboards.

I’ve also got an EV-5 and a Korg XVP10. Unfortunately, neither are appreciably smaller than the FC7.

A guitar volume pedal like the Mini Morley Volume might have a slightly smaller footprint, but its metal chassis is likely not lighter than the FC7, and since it’s an optical pedal, it requires a power source.

Morley makes a "mini" but I've never seen or heard one.
