BTW busta and I talked earlier and I asked him to start the new thread in case anyone is wondering.

Just thought it would be cool to have busta do this. He might live in Va but he has a lot of ATL Jam blood in him. Thanks busta!

ditto geezer-I've listened twice already. You have a unique voice on the material. Really liked Sail on Sailor.

Yeah, SoS is good; 100 miles is good, the whole darn thing is good! Unbelievable talent.

Been thinking about our annual obligatory obscure Steely Dan tune- maybe one with some steel in it, Busta, ya thinks we could do any of these?

Fire in the Hole
Brooklyn
Pearl of the Quarter

We never did do Vehicle; I'd like to throw that one back into the bucket list (zenland worked really hard on those horn parts, I wanna hear em again).

I'll think of some more...

I only know certain songs. As long as we play them, I'm good. :)

walshb, you are excellent !!
...no matter the tune.
feel free to toss a few tunes in the hat.

"maybe one with some steel in it, Busta, ya thinks we could do any of these?
Fire in the Hole
Brooklyn
Pearl of the Quarter"

mojo; only if superman flies clockwise
around the Earth @ a speed fast enough to change the rotation of the planet....
Those are super tunes, but WAY otta' my league.

Hey guys, since we can't seem to have another NC jam, mind if I crash the party? It's been a loooooong time since I've seen any of ya'll. I've been way too busy with school and work the past few years, but I've cut way back on work and have a lot more free time now. From what I've read, your Atlanta jams are a hoot and a half!

*edit because all this college learning hasn't helped my ability to type*

Awesome! I sold my big rig when I quit gigging, so I might have to borrow an input when my turn in the rotation pops up. All I've got anymore is my Super Champ, which is lovely in my house or at a gig miked up, but it isn't exactly jam worthy. ;-)

I know from last NC jam that this is a mostly rockin' affair, but any chance at some old outlaw country? I just spent 2 and a half years bangin' out old Haggard and Waylon tunes to drunk rednecks in honky tonks, and I'll be danged if I didn't grow to like 'em!

Maybe:

Workin' Man Blues - Haggard
Lukenbach Texas - Waylon and Willie
Folsom Prison Blues - Cash

If country is a bad word around just give me a warning before you start chuckin' the bottles and I'll skedaddle on out with my twangin' ways. ;-)

Great! I know and remember zen and mojo from the NC jam (and of course busta). It's always great to meet new FDPers.
