distance traveled awards for NJ ClamFest. Anyone who drove 2+ plus hours gets a tip of the hat.

Dadical makes the drive from Asheville, NC to NJ like he's doing a beer run.

sjerome comes down from Buffalo area to NJ. I guess that was just a warmup for the ride to Virginia.

mojodelic drives up from Atlanta to play on 8 songs. the man is determined and a raging player

fritzdcat and wife come into NC from SF for business, but make a side trip to NJ. great meeting them at the jam

tiller and son had a long hike on the pike.

peterw drives down from Boston in a different car each time..

garp is going to fly into the local airport from CT one of these days in his G5.

you all get an OTL sticker for your cars' bumpers.

I remember backing up that cat on "All Right Now" (an off-the-list "audible," IIRC), another big high point on my personal enjoyment list.

Well, when talking about distance Sjerome sure stands out for showing up at several Ohio jams too. Namely in Cleveland and the lake jams(s) in Xenia too. Favorite quote while we're talking about playing "Sultans of Swing" he causually says: "I sorta know that…"

And then he NAILS it!!! Outstanding!!! Definitely a forever highlight for sure!!!

And Steve, I *still* want a copy of that pic of you, me, Apple, and SheRock around the mic doing whatever song that was...

Yeah, he's a quiet one that blows me away with his guitar nuances. Guys like Steve make every jam a thrill for me!

Steve, I've got a good shot of you, Apple, and She-Rock, but none of all four of us. Will send you that one.

Got it Steve, and thanks! But it's not the one I was thinking of though. Whenever it was, somebody said Rocky took it, but it must've been someone else. Oh well. Great pic though!

The Southwest Allstar Jam I attended in Moab, Utah was a great time made possible by meeting some really great people.

At one point Chrissy and I double-teamed the bass for a song.

Mojodelic whipping out the lap steel at the Cornland 61 jam. That was fantastic.

If I've already mentioned this, it deserves a second nod. Superb.

I'll never forget SoCal III when LePaul came down from NorCal. Deacon Blues was in from New Mexico. LePaul was introducing himself to the folks and Deacon responded, "Hi. I'm Chris Greene."

I had to turn away so my face wouldn't give it up. We had him going half the night.

A Houston Jam at Trave's Roadhouse, can't recall the year. My wife & I (me new to the FDP, my wife a total stranger) being invited to the "After Jam Dinner & Acoustic Jam" at the home of two of the coolest FDPers ever, kego & lrgo.

-------------------------------

Me missing a step and tripping while carrying kego's **Brand New Boutique Tube Amp** downstairs at one of the Dallas guitar show jams. It could've been a serious disaster for the amp and/or me and/or anyone on the stairs in front of me. Thankfully it wasn't.

"Ha! I had forgotten about that little event on the stairs concerning you and the amp...lol"

I remember is very clearly, for some strange reason (frown). The staircase didn't lead directly to the backdoor, it took a right turn near the bottom, with two or three steps to reach it. I missed the very last step at the bottom of the staircase. I don't want to think about what might've happened if I had tripped at the top of the stairs with people in front of me. That's what I get for trying to be "useful."

The name of the place escapes me, I need to check the Jam archives. Those who have trooped up & down the back stairs will know the turn.
