09 @ uncle don's;
There was a little squirrely guy playin' harp.
He was classic, jumping in on every song, steppin' on guitar solos, steppin' on vocals.

Don's band took the stage & the harp guy
grabbed his "vest-o-harps" & started towards
the stage. Just then, a loud booming voice
said, "NO"...& Don put a laser gaze on the harp guy. He slinked away & life was good.

Yeah the temp was hot for the '07 jam but we had shelter to keep a bit of the heat off. That Jam was a blast! ;)

Well, Ole Telebob did teach me a song I play to this day. I think I'm the only guy in Hawaii that knows it from the responses I've recieved.

"Nobody knows you when you're down and out"... Thanks Telebob, where ever you are!!...

A bit late, but I just remembered playing drums on Zep's Rock and Roll at Clamfest a couple years ago. Hadn't played the song with a band in 30+ years and halfway through, I'm breathing hard and wondering if I can keep it going til the end. I did it, but next time I want an oxygen bottle next to me and have medics standing by. LOL.

you dont want to end up like Hillcrest Rich at the spring Clamfest a few years ago.... The ambulance had to take him away. he had over 90% blockage in his heart.

I recall i was on stage singing Pump it Up as they carted him away....kinda ironic as that is what they were getting ready to do to him

today he is fine, quit smoking and all is well

Yep - Cornland 61 was a prodigious event. The geographical spread was 900 miles. Interacting with FDP'ers from NY to GA. Quite the jam.

"I did it, but next time I want an oxygen bottle next to me and have medics standing by."

... says undoubtedly one of the fittest geezers of the FDP! :-)

Re. Cornland, I gotta say, walking in the door and seeing mojo-d definitely messed with my head (in a good way). And I have to call out the uniformly excellent level of playing as a real high point. It was as much fun sitting and watching as playing.
