Yes, we've survived our first two gigs (and thanks to all who showed up!), at Liberty Street Brewing Company and The New Way Bar.

The next event is DjetFest at Paychecks Lounge in Hamtramck, on Saturday, January 19, 2013.

As at the New Way, there'll be sets by our band, as well as local punk rock icons The CIA, and avant-rock band The Audionics. Also playing will be Space Band, and special guest appearences by members of Immigrant Suns and Granfalloon.

Coming up this Saturday.

Ron Tool and The Capitalists will go on second, after Space Band, should start between 9:00 and 9:30 but very subject to change.

This one should be a party. Celebrating Djeto's 50th is bound to be a good time.

See ya' there!

It was pretty wild, RAC ... planning to put up some YouTube videos ... Paychecks Lounge puts up some clips each night, though the audio/video quality is a little rough with the camera being far from the stage. Links follow.

SpaceBand was wild ... costumes ... unusual instrumentation ... even more unusual vocals/sounds/noises ... Granfalloon and Immigrant Suns reuninions were cool ...

The Audionics are interesting (Leo Gillis on vocals, Djeto on guitar and harpsichord, Sheldon Santamaria Sax (providing the low end, apparently via octaver) and Kerry Gluckman on Drums (amazing drummer, great chops). Unusual time signatures, very avant garage.

CIA were CIA, always cool, over the line, outrageous.

And, of course, Ron Tool And The Capitalists had a great time.

Looking forward to the Trebor reunuion in March.

AmyNasir seemed to get the most rave reviews this time around. She looked good, played well. She had to sing a lot, since the sound man couldn't give us three vocal mics (cord issues).

CIA (With Crash Malicious sitting in for Guns Collins, who'd thrown out his back ... Guns drummed on one song late in the set and lived to regret it)

I Don't Trust The CIA
Corporate Rock
Cult Hero (One of my all-time favorites)
Gossip (Extended mayhem version ... I've got some good close-ups of this one, once I get my video edited/uploaded)

The next event is this Saturday, March 16, 2013!

Southeast Michigan friends of Trebor (my original band with RAC-Strat and AmyNasir), Ron Tool and The Capitalists (John E. Hett's latest project, which includes Amy & I, although on completely different instruments!), and fans of classic Detroit punk band The CIA are encouraged to join us in celebrating our Fearless Leader's 50th Birthday and other related events!

We've rented a large room at the Elk's Club in Plymouth Michigan; cash bar for mixology, and we'll be ordering some kind of carryout for dinner around 6:30 ... doors open at 4:00 p.m., and we plan to go until 2:00 a.m.

The band roster is long, and it'll be exciting to see if we can really fit 17 acts into 10 hours ... including the end-of-the-night free-for-all!

This one's going to be fun.

As usual, the flyer w/ details is posted at the website!
