There aren't a whole lot of them out there. There were two runs of these--just a few thousand, max. I've seen a few, and they are fantastic. Never owned one.

My teacher has one that he uses during lessons. Its a neat guitar. Only heard it plugged up once. Pretty good guitar.

He also has a 48 L-5 and super 400 and 64 strat and the list goes on. I am quite jealous.

Played one briefly Sat. night ... THey are a great specialty jazz box guitar.

I had my chance at one in '85 or '86. A local store had one in natural finish, a bit darker than typical. Gorgeous striping on the body, ebony tailpiece. Brand new for $595.

I had recently bought a Guild Starfire (very nice guitar), so I passed. Regretted it ever since.
