Folks who know Amy & I from the last five years' Detroit area FDPJams might enjoy seeing this show ...

Ron Tool and The Capitalists is the latest project from John E. Hett, local punk celebrity ex of CIA, Teenage Alcoholics, etcetera.

For this project, John's brought me on board for lead guitar (and record production), and Amy Nasir on bass. Style is folk-punk, and Saturday night's show will be all-originals.

We'll also be celebrating the arrival of the debut CD, True Tales Of Dereliction ... hopefully the first shipment will arrive in time from New York (was delayed by Sandy, but should arrive in Detroit tomorrow).

Planning to start playing at 9:00 PM. Would love to see some FDP peoples there!

If anyone's curious about gear, the LP Studio & Variax 300 will be on hand, with the Mustang III handling both amp and pedal duties.

Only pedal will be the BBE Sonic Stomp for boost/solo (cabled through the send/return effects loop).

This is a small bar; Amy's bass will be direct into the PA (small mixer with a pair of Mackie Thump 15 units, single 10" Kustom monitor wedge).

With hardwood floors in a single large room, I'm looking forward to hearing how the M-III & Thump 15's handle the space.

Thanks, Pete. We'll be at the New Way Bar next, on the 8th in December.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, good to hear ... and that's cool if December works better for you ... the 8th will certainly be the big party.

With CIA and Audionics warming up ... looking forward to seeing them, as much as playing.

Thanks ... it was a good one ... I'd forgotten how much fun it s to be in a performing band ... room was full, mostly "our crowd" and very much a good time. Can't wait to do it again next month.

The December 8 2012 gig at the New Way Bar on Woodward in Ferndale will be even more of a party.

(And much easier, as Liberty Street diesn't have house sound, so I supplied the rig ... in addition to load in & out, the evening was made more "interesting" by a mystery in the monitors ... hardest ones to solve are problems which turn out to have TWO causes ... in this case, one monitor speaker cable with a short, the other with a right angle 1/4" plug which, in that speaker jack, automatically kept forcing itself out just-that-little-bit ...)

Hope to see ya'all on the Eighth.
