I'll do it. Let's do a few Streisand tunes, but in the style of Twisted Sister.

Being the odd fellow that I am, I'd like to find a few souls willing to tackle some reggae such as "Three Little Birds" and "No Woman No Cry". I also have a reggae arrangement of "Helpless" that's real easy.

If there are any Dead fans out there "I Know You Rider" is pretty simple as well.

we used to do Stir it Up into the Tide is High as they are basically the same song....

Also did Brown Eyed Girl and Margaritaville with the vibes (on my keyboard) for a Reggae feel...

I am up for any of these
Maybe Pete- the King of Collingswood can find some steel drums for me to play :)
Or I can bring my keyboard which has a nice vibes setting

I love to play organ on reggae songs. My band used to do No Woman No Cry, I Shot the Sheriff and we used to do a killer reggae version of Ain't No Sunshine.

ok... so when is the preliminary song list coming out?

I assume we all want to do the google docs thing again? That seemed to work out really well for everyone

I have heard Reggae, power pop,and the usual classic rock suspects as themes/suggestions..

so SJC (Pete) as your Deputy I am looking for direction Sir... :)

george it's been super busy at OTL with another two weeks of crunch time to go. If your schedule allows it, you can start taking the suggestions and compiling them. Looks like I'll be flipping burgers and tapping kegs until Labor Day

sure thing!

ok Boyz and Gurlz.....light is on. Email me your suggestions and when i get a handful i will post them on Google Docs. Same as last year we will see if we can get chord charts with them so we are all in the same key

so far no theme... I prefer the sing-a-longs, the 80s dancable ones and the classic stds...but it is majority vote so if it gets love it gets on the list

We will do sign ups like last year in blocks to allow more people to play.

vote early- vote often~!

I'm thinking of a host of jokes I will not be posting
I'll send you my list... but you probably already know it

I played with a band here last night. Two excellent female singers. What's Going On by Four NonBlondes was big fun.
