I ordered an LDR-optocoupler-bug from AES for a Super Reverb that was missing one; apparently someone previously had removed it. Is there a way to identify which "leg" goes to the 4 connecting points? I know the light faces toward the back of the chassis, but I'm unsure of the correct alignment of the legs....Is there only one correct way to hook it up, i.e. a polarity?? Perhaps it will come labeled as to which is which, not sure....Any help appreciated. Thanx, Rinto

One end should be flaged with a dot.
The leads on the dot end connect to the 10 meg and 100k resistors.

The chassis layout drawings at Schematic Heaven shows it very clearly too.

Thanks guys, I looked at the schematic, seems simple....Apparently there's no such thing as upside down (?).

The dot goes up and faces the preamp tube side of the chassis.

Note,
If the bug has an LED in there it will be polarity senstive and not light if the polarity is reversed.
I added a pic to the above post.

Thanx for the clarification H101, it should be a breeze to add the bug....By the way, beautiful job on the Deluxe Reverb; is the chassis original and rebuilt with new components??
