Well, practically speaking, with only one volume and one tone knob, you won't have to worry about too many knobs hiding under the Bigsby's arm. And the Bigsby will definitely keep it from being neck heavy...

Its simplicity is part of its beauty, prof, but if a Bigsby is how you roll, go for it.

Not my cup of tea on an LP. Set up and actual performance can be an issue. (tuning)
I prefer a guitar with straight string angle over the nut and less headstock angle than with a Paul.
I have a Tele I built with a Bigsby and like it.
I wouldn't go drillen' holes in that thang.

That guitar is too pretty for a bigsby, but everybody has their own idea of what is cool.

No drilling with the Vibramate. Easy on, easy off. If I don't like it I'll put it on the SG.
If I go Floyd I'll also rout out some room for active pickups, do my own custom paint job using tape zig zags and black Krylon for a black and gold EVH effect, and top it off with a custom pickguard.

Your profile already shows a half dozen Bigsby guitars including a P-90 LP. The difference is the one you already have has the pickup selector switch up high where it belongs. The LP/DC has the switch right where a Bigsby would be in the way of using it.

I was wondering about that. The bigsby arm does stick out though, so it shouldn't make contact. I'll measure to be sure about clearance.

There it is.
If I liked a Bigsby, I might try and put one on the doorbell.

It's your guitar.
That's like asking for a consensus if you should add salt and pepper to something.
Whenever I've considered doing a mod to a guitar of mine, I either do it or I don't. The opinions of others matter this much:

If it were me, I'd give it a shot. Using the Virbra-mate, and with an SG that could use the Bigsby if it doesn't work out well on the LP DC, you really have nothing to lose.
I put a Bigsby B3 on my Hamer Echotone, and as much as I love it (with couple custom mods like a longer arm a softer spring) I wish I'd kept it a hardtail and gone for a Maestro equipped SG for my trem needs because I slightly preferred the overall feel with the stop tail. No going back on this particular guitar though.

One positive: when that guitar is covered in weather checking and has worn edges and a green patina and someone pulls the Bigsby off, it will leave a really cool gold Bigsby silhouette on the guitar.
