How do you like the pups? Just asking because I love the Twisted Tele and Broadcaster pups on my Baja Tele.

I like the pickups. After playing a 72 thinline for a number of years and then going with a Classic Vibe Custom for the single coil sound the 2012 Standard had a mid-range thing going on that I was not use to but am getting her dialed in pretty good. Through my blues Deluxe she sounds great. One thing compounding the problem is at the Cowboy Church where I play regularly I am going direct into the PA with an amp modeller. The other guitars except bass are acoustic so they sound very good. I am going to change to a different modeller as the one I have is a Digitech (lower end) and it is not getting the response I want but that will change. All in all I am impressed with the guitar.Kind of heavy but that helps sustain I think.

Cool!
I play my 88 American Tele in our church band. I'm using a Line 6 Pod XT. Took me a while but I've got some good sounds going on now.

Judging by the spec, the 2012 Standard Tele seems like a near perfect guitar. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my Baja Tele, but the pickups, both neck and bridge, are about the best I've ever heard in any tele.
Is it sacrilege to say I prefer my Baja's Twisted Tele neck PUP over the neck PUP in my friends Nocaster?

Not at all. The Twisted Tele pickup is excellent. I think Fenders uses it in a number of high end telecasters.

I have not heard a Tele or Strat neck pup sound any better than the Twisted Tele pup.
