I had one of the first generation Blues Deluxe back in 92 or 93. You could get some great blues tones out of it that I really liked. Unfortunately it also had cold solder joints requiring resoldering on a regular basis likely due to the cheap board they used that would flex with vibration. If they've resolved this problem it's a good blues amp but can't really deliver pristine cleans. In other words, not great for jazz but if blues and blues rock is your bag and the reliability issue has been resolved it's a great little amp. I just couldn't keep mine running.

Good amp for classic rock, blues, or country. Anything else, maybe not.

The Blues Deluxe and Hot Rod Deluxe amps are still my favorite for all around tube amps. They sound great with all guitars.

Great amp but LOUD, I have one but prefer my DRRI as the volume is more manageable.

Anyone ever change the volume and tone pots on their pro jr? Is it a hard job? Can better pots be installed? Do you think it would change the sound?
