My religion is superfluous.
When you die, where do you think you'll go?
I was raised in the Catholic Church and if die, I'll probably go to Puragatory, where souls who have committed sins, but not mortal sins.
Sorry for starting this thread because I believe all of God's children go to heaven. But just not just yet. At the end of the world.

Without going into specifics:
Depends on what the individual wants; I believe we construct our own afterlife.

The world ends when we die.
Our world, anyway, so it might as well be the whole world.
George Carlin once said he was starting a new religion: when you die your soul goes to a used car lot in Buffalo.

I like threads about religious beliefs.
I hope they still have them after I'm gone.

Some part of me wants it to be like in Albert Brooks' film "Defending Your life"
Especially the part about how in heaven you can eat all you want, the food is delicious, and you never gain weight. Pretty cool.

It's my nature to look for empirical evidence when it comes to hardcore beliefs. But the afterlife is such an important consideration that I cannot dismiss it's existence. I live my life as if there is one, and I hope for one. If there isn't, then I guess I won't be embarrassed when I hit the dirt.

I believe...
* This life is not all there is.
* When our current earthsuits wear out, we can no longer stay in this life.
* This life a stepping stone to the next place.
* Death is just a change of address.

My stance, seeing as I started this thread goes thusly. I believe there are so many souls and that they get recycled. I sure as hell hope I'm wrong. I don't want to go thru geometry again!
Then again, if we come back as an older soul, we won't remember our past life.
Dear God, please don't let me come back as a rapper.

Nothing heaven related, I just believe in the Golden Rule.
Haven't been to Mass or confession in a zillion years. Somehow, I truly believe that if I were struck dead right now, I'd be OK in the afterlife.
You don't go to heaven or hell. That doesn't come to the end of the world. The final reckonkining.
I'd be really interested in what the Jewish faith says in that the New Testamemt doesn't exist.

Death is a win/win situation. If you die and there is something, then great. If there is nothing, you'll never know it and so, no regrets.

"The world ends when we die. Our world, anyway, so it might as well be the whole world."
I recommend watching the Biography channel series titled "I Survived, Beyond and Back."
It will change your mind.......It is on right now as a matter of fact.
If you still have doubts after watching several episodes of this show you are fooling yourself.
