Okay so i am in kind of a debate right now over this tanquery strat (only 100 made) and getting a CS guitar or something else. I need some advice because the tanqueray strat is 2700 dollars, which for this guitar seems a bit steep, i love the guitar a lot but for 2700 i don't know. I need to know if i am about to get ripped off, or if this is a good price. Advice on this would be much appreciated.

I did some Googling and saw prices closer to $1000 mentioned within the last few years on Tanqueray Strats. Apparently it's an American Standard with a different color.
It might be rare, but you can buy a lot of guitar for $2700. In the words of a good friend, "You almost never regret *not* buying something." Buyer's remorse is more common and more likely than a jones for something that never was. So don't feel bad if you let it go.

IMO, once you pass the $1,000 mark you're talking about very diminished extra value on quality of components. So the question is, do you like the artwork and playability enough - or for $2,700 can you do something custom that is more to your liking?
My .02. YMMV.

You mean one of the green ones that the tequila company did? Two minutes with google and I get a feeling that $2700 is about three times what it should be.
See link below (albeit from 4 years ago), where the guys says this...
"A new American Series Strat will cost you $949.00 at the super stores. Wouldn’t you rather have a 20 year old Strat in an ultra rare color?"

WAY overpriced for what it actually is.
Get a new American Standard and have it painted in the color you like. You'll save close to $1000 that way.

Geez my love for this guitar almost hoodwinked me. The thing that sucks is that i love the guitar, but i can't justify to myself spending that much on what is esstenially an american standard. Fdp saving my money yet again.

Now are there any suggestions on what i should get? I want green and i need a slim backside to the fretboard, the board needs to be rosewood and a radius of 9.5 or 7. If anyone sees anything around the web give me a shout, also it seems i like the year 1988 in strats.
