Any recommendations for a replacement pickup for a Squire? I know the stock one is not working. I have a Dimarzio fat strat bucker in the bridge. I primarily use the neck pick up. I play through some decent tube amps and would like to make this a gigable back up.
Recommendations appreciated.

American Standrad Tele pup should do fine. I would recommend the Twisted Tele pup but you may have to carve a deeper cavity in the body for it to fit because I think it is higher than a regular Tele neck pup.

My stock Fralin Tele pickup is one of my favorites on any of my guitars. Very warm and rich sounding but not muddy when clean. Gets really creamy when overdriven. Lindy can wind it a bit hotter if needed.

Big fan of the Fender Original Vintage pickup set, it's cheap and sounds great.

I like the Texas Special Neck pickup. Not so much the bridge though.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. The Fralins seem to have a good reputation. I'm also a fan of the stock varieties on the American Tele's. I'll let you know how it goes.
