The local GC just got three used Splawn amps in (2 heads and 1 combo).
The amps are the Splawn Nitro, Quick Rod and Street Rod (combo).
What's the what on the Splawn thing Jim? (:oD

The prices might bring you down from your G.A.S. high, unless you're loaded.

Even the used ones are pricey.

Scott Splawn was a well known amp tech that made modifications to Marshall amps. Eventually, he decided to build his own amps, each in the high gain "modded" Marshall vein.
The Quick Rod is a classic late 80's high gain Marshall. The Nitro is a more modern high gain amp. Not sure about the Street Rod.
Just out of curiosity, what are the used prices?

Have you tried looking on ebay or the GC web site?

"Have you tried looking on ebay or the GC web site?"
The GC website has used Quick Rods from $1399 to $2050 but no reference as to where they are located. Just curious how much the one up the road from me in OKC is listed.
They sell for around $1500 - $1600 used on eBay.

They're great amps. They sound great, have a huge range of tones, and you won't find a stronger built amp anywhere. I've had a couple versions of quick rods and for the price, you can't find a better rock amp. Especially used, they're usually in the 1200-1500 range u

1) The website does have the locations of all of the products. It is part of the listing.
2) You can also do a search by zip code and miles radius from that zip code.

Thanks! I didn't see that the first time, but went back and found that info.
Looks like $1950 is the used value in OKC. Not exactly competitive pricing...

The used Street Rod (in red tolex) at the OKC GC is selling for over $1800. Seems too high, based on the new price.

Definitely. You can order one new direct from splawnguitars.com for 1850. I've seen used ones sell for 1400-1600 in classifieds etc.
