Just bought a stick bag and I'm not quite sure how to mount it? I was thinking that it somehow looped around the lugs on the floor tom? The bag that I have is made by Road Runner (beep, beep). It has what appears to be two nylon strings that are tied in kind of a loop knot like they are designed to just hang on something. Don't think they'll hang on the lugs though?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think I would put the cord around the tention rods on two ajacent floor tom lugs and tie it behind the stick bag.

I have a bag that has two velco straps. I attach it to a floor tom as above.

Some guys attach them to the HH or cymbal stands.

Thanks for the help Hammond101

As a follow up question, I was thinking that the stick bag could be used to just reach over and grab a stick when you drop one. However, there doesn't appear to be any way to secure the bag at the bottom so I'm wondering if that would really work or not?

If the strings are on the top of the bag it should hang there just fine. Gravity ya know. As long as it's open at the top and front I would think it would work.

The bag I use on my kit was quite cheap, about $10. I have another larger one to store sticks in. No mounts on that one.
