Dang! Shame to have to use a 50mm for that. I suppose it is better if you are using a DX and not FX, but still a bit short for my taste.
Still, sounds like a great job! :)

If she's a good model she'll need very little direction other than where you want her to look. Have her grab the sprayers and blow dryers for fun.
Do you have a soft box?

Dadical brings up a very good point. I photoed a model for a rapper I know in Germany. He told me that the last guy that did her shots never had her eyes in focus, but her bust was always in focus (she is very well endowed).

Well it went fine, didn't really use the salon as a setting much apart from the odd use of a chair, mainly stuck with pics of her posing against a backdrop. Seemingly she wants to enter competitions and needed pics to enter so hopefully I've done her justice. Like I said most of them were straightforward 'standing' shots but we got the odd adventurous one using the chaise-longe from the waiting area.. Lighting was a bit ad-hoc, in this shot I used my daylight lamp to the right pointed at her, a video spotlight on her legs to the far right and a halogen worklight on the left to fill in as well as the camera mounted flash. Camera was my Canon Rebel XTi and lens was a stock Canon 35-135USM.

Um, this is really weird. I'm looking at your album on Photobucket, and I clicked on the link to see all of the 270 pictures you have in there. I came across #70 and noticed that, it's my picture. As in, I took that picture.

You took that? cool! I was very into my old VWs for many years and someone emailed me that, I put it on my photobucket to share with people on a VW forum. I meant no disrespect or copyright infringment, if you want I'll delete it?

In fact, never mind, I'll delete it anyway, it's not my pic and I've no reason to keep it there now. obviously it can be misinterpreted as being something I took when it isn't so I'll dump it. apologies for any confusion. I tend to use photobucket as a place just to stick any pics I want to link to rather than just strictly my own photos. there's probably a lot more on there that aren't mine too!

No sweat about the pic, it was just a shock to see it there. I have not used that photobucket account in a while and forgot I had it.

Don't think I got it from your photobucket anyway, glad it's not a problem, don't want to step on anyone's toes!
I don't know if you got to see any of the other shots from that shoot as I kept the album 'private' to stop anyone taking them, here's another one just with the grey backdrop, they were mostly like this one, quite straightforward really..

Pete, those pics are awesome! Very nice glow to them. And no, I could not see any of them in your photos so they should be safe. Looks like you had some fun with it.

Thanks Pirate! as you can probably tell there's a good bit of photoshop applied but I'm happy with them, hopefully she is too but she hasn't got back to me yet.. She did want a heavily processed look so here's hoping...
I had problems before posting her pics on facebook and guys commenting on her 'assets' which she later found out about and so did her boyfriend.. hence the need for privacy! Don't think anyone on here would be disrespectful though.. even if they were I don't think she'd find out so I think I'm safe!
