My primary stressor these days is the realization that the funnest electric guitar I have is the Danelectro DC3, which I've already given to youngest son. That scale and neck profile seem perfect. And I believe it has a 25-inch scale....maybe that's the key. And then I realize PRS makes 25"-scale guitars. Then I remember several amp-testing experiences, where I used a PRS and was impressed by the neck, with the scale feeling just right.
It's been at least a year since I've had GAS.

Just tell yourself that it's not a guitar. It's a CS electric STRING STRETCHER! And you can save money by buying in bulk. Now that you've got the proper tool for prepping them.
But it is certainly a shame that each size and style of string requires a separate 'Stretcher'. And they are only function at peak for 8>10 sets of strings. Weeeeell, they still work but just not as good as a new one. Thereby necessitating the next purchase.
Real life is like that.

Always has worked as a reverse mantra for me. Draws those new gitars right into my car and outta my bank account.

I spent $360 on a Maxon AD999 and $150 on Fulltone OCD, thus avoiding another guitar. (:oD

I need to A/B the OCD with my Maxon OD-808 to see whether the OCD is a keeper.
I want the same sound as the OD-808, but with just a tad more gain.

I always get gas and then put in a bid on Fleabay for something that has a long time to the end of the auction. Then at the end of the auction I rarely win, but I do get to feel 5 days of buyer's remorse without the financial burden.
Seems to have worked on an amp I wanted recently. The deal is you gotta make sure and bid it close to a realistic winning price.

Funny, I have both those pedals. Makes me realize how pricey they can get.

I told myself I don't need another guitar. So I passed on that blue Epi 339. Now you can't get one. See what happens??

Guitars bring me so much joy. I am not one bit guilty over owning so may. Sure I may thin them out a little but only to buy more expensive pieces that I cannot normally afford. They are really a great investment.
If you can afford even one great guitar and pay it out at a reasonable price go for it.
Everybody spends money on something they like whether it be paintings, cars, boats, stamps, trips...whatever. Mine is owning and playing guitars.
Do I have much money. I wish. I live from cheque to cheque, I just built up my collection over the past 20 or more years.
There is never a day that I am not truly grateful that I own so many and I treasure them. I keep them in cases and don't bang them around.
If you want a guitar and can get some support from your wife or girl friend go for it.
